A “Billy bargain” is a brummie term (I think - do comment if I’m wrong, I’d like to know) for a really good deal or, as us Essex boys say, a “good little earner.” Anyway, whatever the origin of the phrase the point is you can save money by comparing prices on games, music, books and - my favourite gift idea for any occasion - cheap DVD box sets.

Like all good ideas the site it really easy to use, you just enter what you’re looking for or browse the menus and the results are displayed from cheapest to most expensive. The difference in price between the cheapest and most expensive can easily be more than double the price for the exact same item on some of the titles I searched for - which means I check before every purchase now.

BillyBargain looks up prices at all the best online UK Retailers (around 40 stores I understand) including Play.com, Amazon, HMV, Zavvi and more.

If the price at the cheapest store is still too expensive for you (we all know prices come down as products drop out of the bestseller charts) you can register and enter the price you’re prepared to pay and Billy Bargain will Track-It for you.
